Digital Wedding Photos - Useful
Information
For anyone that is or has been married, the events of the
day can be captured in images, forever; now with digital
wedding photography it is easy for wedding photographers to
almost instantly save and show the couple the images from the
wedding. Looking at an image captured during the wedding or
reception can bring the memories back more than watching a
DVD!
The hardest thing if you are a friend or relation is trying
to take photographs of the wedding day that they will be
pleased with. This article highlights a few basic techniques
and styles for anyone who wants to capture a friend or family
members wedding using a digital camera.
Unless you know how to compensate or have taken the shot
purposely for effect; remember the background is very
important. Often when there is a good background there are just
too many people in the shot, so if this is the situation, just
try and capture a nice head and shoulders shot of the
couple.
Try to get guests that have spectacles on to either remove them
or hold their head at an angle so that there isn't a reflection
obscuring their eyes. If you are shooting into the light,
remember to compensate and increase the aperture otherwise the
couple (or guests) will appear dark in the image.
Natural, wedding photos always look better than staged ones
but difficult to capture when you are too close so a powerful
zoom lens is a great advantage. To avoid missing what will
probably be great shots, don't put your camera down because
with digital wedding photography you can guarantee the moment
you do, something worthwhile will take place.
All your efforts will be wasted if you forget to have fresh
batteries or carry enough memory for your digital camera to
take every image from the day. For any camera with 6 mega
pixels or above, you will require at least one gigabyte,
preferably two gigabytes of storage space on your card if you
intend to use high resolution.
Always remember that the higher the resolution used, the larger
the size of prints that can be made so always keep a secure
copy of your work so you can re-use them in the future. You can
do this by saving albums on your personal computer to free up
the space on your memory card or burn them to a CD or DVD.
Capturing beautiful digital wedding photography shots will
depend on how much you enjoy taking pictures and whether or not
the couple mean anything to you.
